SECU 2008 AGM

 

SECU CREDIT UNION CROSSES $100 MILLION IN ASSETS

 

SECU Credit Union Co-operative Society Ltd. held its 26^th Annual General Meeting on the 24^th April 2008 at its head office in California. The meeting was well attended by approximately 1,000 members. Ms. Wendy Ho Sing, Deputy Inspector of Financial Institutions was the feature speaker at the meeting. She congratulated SECU on its financial performance for the year 2007 and went on to stress the importance of good governance and accountability in the credit union sector.

 

The 26^th AGM marked a milestone in the history of SECU based on its record of stability and consistent growth as the credit union crossed the 100 million dollar mark in assets. This achievement is an indication of the confidence and security which its members and the general public enjoy in their relationship with SECU.

 

Mr. Pascall Marcelin was re-elected President along with the following directors: Mr. Andrew Lambkin, Vice President, Ms. Lois Carmino, Secretary, Ms. Ingrid Carpette, Treasurer, Ms. Rodlyn Farrell, Assistant Secretary and directors Ms. Debra Pierre-Daniel, Mr. Peter W. Bostic, Mr. Hayden Wilson and Mr. Davindra Maharaj. Mr. Philip Sancho and Mr. Kenneth Medina were elected alternate directors.
